Since 2006, we’ve offered IT Support to small and mid-sized businesses in the NY/NJ metropolitan area. Our Managed Services monitor and maintain our clients’ networks proactively and remotely. This saves them time, money and frustration while increasing their levels of productivity.
Our cloud computing services, operating out of a purpose-built 120,000 square foot data center, allows our clients access to huge benefits that come with cloud computing such as scalability, less downtime, remote access, built-in backup and disaster recovery, and elimination of cap-ex costs.

Our Story
Evan Berk, a self-taught computer programmer and analyst, focused early in his career on how to make computers work to better support business processes. Taking programming positions with local manufacturers to help them implement and customize their planning and accounting systems, Evan quickly learned the ins and outs of inventory and resource planning, and became certified by the American Production & Inventory Control Society in production and inventory control.
Realizing that he had a unique skillset that allowed him to bridge the gap between how a business actually runs and how it uses computer software, Evan launched his first company in 1988, focusing on providing inventory planning, production control and accounting systems for manufacturers. The business grew rapidly, becoming a local powerhouse in providing ERP and CRM software in the tri-state area. At the time it was sold, the company was supporting over 800 clients.
Ron Buesing started, at the age of 9, to feed his interest in technology and music using digital keyboarding systems which required him to learn about wave and signal transformation. This influenced and motivated Ron to focus on technology and he started taking private programming classes at age 12. Ron started in the IT work force as a system support specialist, earning several awards for excellent customer service. He was quickly promoted and by the time he was 28 years old, held a leadership position in a large financial company. Four years later Ron was the Chief Technology Officer of a public company that offered digital downloads to over 115 websites and services world-wide, including MSN, Sirius and XM radio.
In 2006, Ron established the precursor to Certus Technologies by offering Managed Services and what are now called Cloud Services to local small and mid-sized businesses. Clients benefited from Ron’s extensive background and enterprise experience in network infrastructure, software programming and cloud and virtual technologies.
In 2011 Evan and Ron were introduced and they both quickly recognized that they shared a common approach to the application of computer technology to improve business processes. Certus Technologies was born, providing a combination of IT infrastructure and cloud computing services to small and mid-sized businesses in a diverse group of industries.
But what really makes Evan and Ron (and Certus Technologies) different is the never-ending focus on business process first, and then employing the right technology to support the specific workflow of a business. The result? Increased productivity and profitability for each of their clients.
